Sachse trash & recycling schedule

When

Carts out by 7 a.m. (pickup 7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Bulk no earlier than 48 hours before the designated day; brush no earlier than the Saturday before. Bulk and brush at the front curb by 7 a.m. on the designated day.

Where

Carts with wheels toward the house; 3 ft between trash and recycle carts; 3 ft from mailboxes, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches; 16 ft vertical clearance; don’t block with vehicles. Bulk and brush on the park strip (or approved area) in front of the property — not blocking the sidewalk or street. Front curb even if carts are alley-served.

Limits

Bulk ≤6 cubic yards (about six washers side by side). Bundled brush unlimited when each bundle is ≤4×2 ft and ≤40 lb. Single bulk items over 150 lb aren’t accepted. Overloaded recycle carts aren’t serviced.

Brush

Bundles ≤4 ft × 2 ft and ≤40 lb. City bulk page also says don’t set brush out earlier than the Saturday before service day.

Not allowed

Bulk won’t take HHW, tires, batteries, propane tanks, extra trash bags, loose construction/remodeling debris, or loose household debris (use a disposable container ≤2×2×4 ft ≤50 lb). Refrigerators and freezers need a refrigerant-removal tag. Fence panels ≤4×6 ft; carpet in 4-ft lengths.

Bags

Bag all trash inside the gray cart. Recyclables loose (not bagged) in the blue cart.

Fees and fines

City and CWD pages don’t list set-out citation dollar amounts. Missed collection: contact CWD within 24 hours (the bulk section of the city page also says within 2 business days). Extra carts through Utility Billing (fee).
