Full details for Old Field: every rule, with sources
- Trash
- Village Trash & Recycle: residents contract directly with 3rd-party carters of their choice. Exact pickup day = your contracted carter. Village documents Bianculli Sanitation (631-968-4822) as a major local vendor with a default practice of trash Mondays and Thursdays (holiday on pickup day → following day) — treat as that vendor’s published practice, not a Village-exclusive weekday for every address. Residents provide own bins; optional back-door service may be extra.
- Recycling
- Per contracted carter. Village notes Bianculli alternating-Wednesday recycle calendar (see Village 2026 Recycle Calendar PDF) for that vendor — other carters may differ. Brookhaven Town schedule doesn't apply to Old Field. Metal: illegal in Brookhaven trash; Bianculli doesn't take recycle metal — separate metal recycling facilities.
