Full details for Rock Hall: every rule, with sources
- Trash
- Town collection every Monday morning for residents within town limits. Sign up for Community Notification Alerts for weather/holiday changes. Code: when regular day falls on a holiday → collect day after holiday (if regular day isn't Saturday; Saturday-holiday rule: day before). Example town news: Memorial Day Mon May 25 pickup moved to Tue May 26 — have trash out by Monday evening. Receptacles (code): watertight, handles, tight-fitting cover; capacity 5–20 gallons unless Town/vendor-provided receptacles (code exempts Town/contractor-provided containers from those size rules). ≤4 receptacles per single dwelling/apartment house (more units: 2 per unit over 2, or one dumpster). Place sidewalk/street edge or alley edge on collection day only; remove by nightfall of collection day. Wet garbage drained and wrapped/bagged before receptacle. No paper/cardboard as the receptacle. Bricks/masonry/large metal/dirt not mingled with garbage/rubbish/refuse.
- Recycling
- Drop-off only (no curbside recycling stated on Town trash page). Bins by ball park off North Main Street: brown/green/clear glass, paper, aluminum & metal cans, plastic, cardboard. Directions: blinking light → north Main → right at ball-field lot; bins on right. Don't leave items outside bins; no trash.
- Bulk pickup
- Upon request, for a fee, first Monday of each month (code definition + Ch. 102 fees). Ch. 102 bulk fees: $10 per stop; +$15 per white good with fluorocarbon (fridge/freezer/AC/water cooler); +$10 other white good; +$5 furniture/mattress/box spring; tire rates $3–$8+ by size (water/mud/rim tires at 2×); other packages $2.50 ≤50 lbs or $2.50 + $1/lb over 50.
