- Weekly Monday — bags or cans. Residents: two lidded cans or two secured bags per dwelling, ≤50 lb each. Small businesses: three lidded cans/storefront ≤50 lb; food in closed container. Have ready for contractors by 7:00 a.m. Town Office 410-226-5122; PW 410-226-5740.
- Recycling
- Weekly Thursday — single-stream in can/bin/bucket marked recycle: paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, metal, glass (see Recycling Guide PDF). Keep dry/contaminant-free; cover in wet weather. County recycle containers also at Causeway recycle center (county + town residents).
- Bulk pickup
- Policy: Rubble/Bulk 3rd Tuesday/month (furniture, mattresses/box springs covered, scrap lumber, building debris, metal, limbs >8 in diameter) — residential only; contractors remove own debris. NOTE (town page 2026): Leaf, limb, rubble, and bulk collection PAUSED July 1 – August 31 (page also says “LEAF, LIMB, BULK collection paused for July, August 2026”). During pause: don't place those items out; trash/recycling unchanged. Electronics: Talbot County Transfer Station.
