2–3 ft from curb, arrows street/alley; ≥5 ft from objects. Heavy items next to cart.
Limits
≤2 heavy items/month. Small bagged/bundled yard waste OK in cart if lid closes. Leaf season: up to 40 leaf bags/week with trash (seasonal dates on leaf page).
Not allowed
Freon appliances, oversized bulky, Christmas trees, construction debris, electronics, household hazardous waste, loose yard waste outside rules, tires — not in regular cart.
Brush
Heavy-trash limb bundles 3×3 ft count as one of two monthly items. Small twigs/leaves/grass bagged in cart OK.

From 2026-01-01: LRS collects districts previously Republic/WM (1,2,3,4,6,9,10); Public Works continues districts 5,7,8,11. Trash bagged inside cart; curb before 7:00 a.m.; cart 2–3 ft from curb, arrows to street/alley; ≥5 ft from objects/buildings. Day via Find Your Trash Pickup Day. Second cart $65 (max two carts serviced). MAC 317-327-4622.

- Subscription curbside via LRS citywide (all 11 districts), biweekly; $9/mo in 2026 ($9.27/mo 2027), LRS invoices quarterly — call 317-245-4444 or sign up online. Universal no-cost biweekly curbside planned 2028. Free drop-off sites also available. Accepts paper, some plastics, metal cans, cardboard, glass (see Recycling 101).
