- Village Public Works weekly refuse for single-family and buildings ≤4 units. Village-issued 95-gallon refuse cart (FAQ: ≤200 lbs household refuse). Same day as recycling; day by address lookup on Trash & Recycling Collection page. Carts out by 7:00 a.m. collection day — crews won't return for late set-outs. Don't place carts out before 6:00 p.m. night before (Recycling Guidelines). Missed refuse: Public Works 847-933-8427 (leave cart out). Cart repair/replacement / second refuse toter (case-by-case after evaluation): online Access Skokie request or PW 847-933-8427. Condos/multi-family >4 units and businesses: LRS franchise (missed: 844-633-3577). Commercial/rentals set up with LRS 773-685-6043.

- Weekly same day as garbage (≤4-unit residential). Public Works provides 96-gallon green recycling carts (Recycling Guidelines; upgrades to larger 96-gal recycle toter if recycling properly but capacity short). Missed recycling (≤4 units): LRS 1-844-NEED-LRS (844-633-3577). Materials per SWANCC/Village guidelines; no plastic bags in curbside recycle. Out by 7:00 a.m.; not more than 24 hours early; don't set bulk during a holiday week. Mattresses wrapped in plastic. Carpet: lengths ≤6 ft, rolls ≤18 in diameter; about one small room / area rug. More than one large / several smaller = large refuse collection: dumpster via LRS 844-NEED-LRS, or schedule small move-out with PW 847-933-8427 before curb set-out. Construction debris: small homeowner loads (1–2 heavy contractor bags or ≤1 cy for a few consecutive weeks) may go with weekly collection; nails removed/pounded flat; contractor/larger projects not allowed — SWANCC transfer station fee option.
