- Republic Services contracted residential garbage Tuesday and Friday for listed areas (Village PDF / 2026 Rose publications title “Bi-Weekly” but schedules show Tue + Fri — treat as twice weekly): 24th Ave–11th Ave; Winston Park; West Melrose; north of North Avenue. Everyday garbage and household bulk furniture (couches, tables, mattresses, box springs, desks, chairs, etc.) on those days. Single- and two-flat buildings only; commercial/apartments = private scavenger. Replacement garbage cans: Public Works 708-343-5128. Separate Village Public Works route for homeowner remodeling debris (cabinets, drywall, cement — not contractor): Mon–Thu by zone (24th–10th N side Cortez–North Ave Mon; S side Cortez–Main Tue; Winston Park Wed; West Melrose & north of North Ave Thu) — out night before or before 7:00 a.m.; trucks don't re-pass.
