City Sanitation (exclusive; private collectors not allowed — Code Ch. 11). Weekly curbside required for city-limit residents. All garbage bagged inside city cart; curb before 7:00 a.m. collection day. Work orders / missed trash / cart problems via online form or 770-943-8010. Billing questions 770-943-1666 ext. 318.
Recycling
Drop-off only (no curbside recycle on city pages). Center at 3006 Springs Industrial Drive: Sat only 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Jan–Feb; Sat–Sun 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Mar–Dec. Accept: clean glass bottles/jars; aluminum cans; steel/tin cans; cardboard (incl. Empty pizza boxes, flattened); mixed paper; plastics #1 & #2 bottles/jugs only. No plastic bags/bagged recyclables, food/liquid, Styrofoam, aerosols, plate glass, etc. (PDF DocumentCenter/View/7623).
Bulk pickup
Fee special pickup — call 770-943-8010 or online form ≥24 business hours before regular collection day; picked up on next regular collection day. Cap ≤2 appliances or ≤4 furniture items/week. Fee schedule includes sofas $30, recliners $30, mattresses/box springs $35, washers/dryers/stoves/hot water heaters $35, refrigerators $50, TVs by size $10–$40, chairs $15/$25, etc. Appliances: empty; doors removed from refrigerators/freezers. Disassemble swing sets/trampolines/basketball goals (no wooden swing sets).
