- Trash
- Town service — bagged household garbage inside 95-gallon containers; lids securely closed; not overfilled. Ordinary trash, small yard trimmings, non-recyclables co-mingled in garbage containers. Don't place trash curbside (fee/ordinance risk) — containers on private property / approved screened location. Days: Condos/apartments (East Island) Mon/Wed/Fri; Houses (West Island) Tue/Thu/Sat. No construction debris, paint, chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, or household hazardous waste in containers. Paid gardeners must haul their own debris. Town won't pick up construction debris.
- Recycling
- East Island (condos/apts) Mon & Thu; West Island (houses) Tue & Sat. Accepts Al cans/foil/bakeware (clean); steel/tin cans (rinsed); flattened cardboard (homes/condos may place flattened cardboard next to bin if won’t fit — not on bulk day); magazines; office paper; rinsed uncapped glass jars/bottles (clear/brown/green); plastics #1–5 & #7 or by shape (bottles/jars/jugs) — clean; no plastic bags. Glass don’ts: ceramics, Pyrex, bulbs, mirrors/windows, CRTs, etc.
