- Former City of Shoreacres consolidated into City of La Porte (canvass May 11; hub laportetx.gov/1418). La Porte assumed administration of existing Decker Dispose-All & Recycling (281-559-4939) contract — no lapse. Legacy Shoreacres garbage page (still useful for Decker rules during transition): Tue & Fri; household waste in containers/bags/bundles ≤ about a pickup-truck load; paid via utility bill historically. Holidays (no service if Tue/Fri): New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Jul 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
- Recycling
- La Porte: curbside recycling discontinued soon for former Shoreacres; use La Porte drop-off Recycle Center (12201 N. C St.) — see batch-06 La Porte.
- Bulk pickup
- Shoreacres is now on La Porte's 2026 heavy trash zone schedule. Under the old Decker service: bulky Fridays curbside; no building materials (contractor); Freon appliances tagged; limbs bundled ≤4 ft / 18 in dia; grass bagged. La Porte heavy trash rules now apply (≤10 cy, zone dates, by 7 a.m. first day).
