Coppell bulk trash pickup
Weekly bulk on Thursdays only (changed Oct. 1, 2026): up to 4 cubic yards of approved bulk that doesn’t fit in the trash cart. Yard waste stays on Wednesdays — paper lawn/leaf bags or an open-top container; brush bundles ≤4 ft and ≤40 lb tied with cotton/jute string; no plastic bags, dirt, poisonous plants, rocks, or concrete in yard waste. Fence panels ≤4 ft, bundled/tied ≤40 lb. Freon refrigerators need a certified Freon-removed tag. Monthly door-side HHW/e-waste (form to [email protected]). One free Camelot Landfill visit per month with a current water bill + matching photo ID.

Set-out checklist
City rules before collection day. Confirm with the city if anything looks off.
When
Trash (Mon/Thu), recycling and yard waste (Wed), and bulk (Thu) out by 7 a.m. at the end of the driveway.
Where
City trash cart: wheels and handle facing the house; lid opening facing the street or alley for the mechanical arm. Follow the city’s Cart Placement Map / ordinance for collection vs non-collection day locations.
Limits
Trash must fit in the City-issued cart (no outside bags); extra trash cart $6/month; weekly bulk ≤4 cu yd on Thursday; yard-waste bundles/containers ≤40 lb; recycling scrap metal ≤50 lb; monthly HHW slot; one free landfill visit/month with water bill + ID.
Brush
Yard trimmings Wednesdays in paper lawn/leaf bags or an open trash can; brush/tree trimmings bundled <4 ft, cotton/jute string, ≤40 lb; unflocked Christmas trees after decorations are removed. Fence panels <4 ft long, bundled/tied ≤40 lb.
Not allowed
Trash outside or on top of the City cart isn’t collected. Yard waste: no plastic bags, dirt, poisonous plants, rocks, concrete. Refrigerators without a Freon-removed tag aren’t collected as bulk. Concrete isn’t on the truck (landfill free of charge per the fence-disposal note). Old personal trash carts can’t be used alongside the City-issued cart.
Bags
Household trash in the gray City cart; recyclables in the blue cart; yard waste in paper bags or an open-top container (not plastic bags).
Fees and fines
Fetched Trash & Recycling / NEW Carts pages don’t list set-out citation dollar amounts. City ordinance requires City-issued carts for trash and recycling. Missed pickup if you had it out by 7 a.m.: Republic 817-332-7301 (makeup by next business day). Cart damage under warranty: City. New monthly rate on the cart page is $24.40 (from $20.51) under the renewed Republic contract.
